The American Heart Association recently released new guidelines that recommend rearranging the order of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, more commonly known as CPR, by putting chest compressions before mouth-to-mouth.
The new guidelines will replace the current A-B-C method of Airway, Breathing and Compressions. The new CPR order will be C-A-B, with compressions done before opening the airway and breathing into the victim’s mouth, according to information from the heart association.
