When the colder weather hits, meeting up at the local playground with other children to run and play can prove a little more difficult. Fortunately, Westchester is home to several child focused music and movement programs that offer an opportunity for children to socialize, let out energy and be creative.
If you are looking for something fun to do with the kids during the colder winter months, check out these local programs:
Jodi’s Gym offers classes for kids nine months and up. They host a wide variety of mommy and me type gymnastic classes and even offer Krazy Kool Creations, a class designed for children who love to build with Legos!
The Little Gym
The Little Gym is home to non-competitive gymnastics programs that build motor skills through a progressive curriculum and music. The Little Gym offers classes for children as young as four months and as old as age three.
The Yoga Sanctuary
The Yoga Sanctuary hosts an Itsy Bitsy Yoga for Tots which was created by an Infant Developmental Movement Educator who is also a yoga teacher and a mom. The classes emphasize fun and focus on easy yoga poses.
Music Together offers a fun, age-appropriate introduction to music. With a parent or caregivers participation, Music Together classes build on a child’s natural enthusiasm for music and movement while empowering families to make making music together part of their daily life.
Life the Place to Be
Life is a 29,000 sq. foot special events and family entertainment center. The facility includes a café, a place structure, padded play room, arcade games and much more.
